Bottle Bosses

Here’s a few pics of the bottle bosses on Gary’s bike. No bosses on the seattube to make it easier to slide the seatpost all the way down. Bosses on the down tube nearer the bottom bracket to enable easy use of a big bottle. 2nd set of bosses placed on the bottom of the downtube.

The downtube also has some bosses for a crudcatcher

Here’s a pic of the bosses complete with reinforcement diamond. All fluxed up ready to braze.

I use a wee magnet and a bolt to make sure the boss stays aligned during torch work. Be careful not to braze the bolt into the boss!
